LIFE ON BOARD

VISION

Why do we choose to live in a small space being bounced around by the waves and give up on most modern comforts? The sea iserves as a reminder that we can live wild and free, find our place in nature by living with and not against the elements, We sail the blue planet because it activates our personal legends, and to experience moving out of modern time: it becomes an initiation voyage towards new continents but also unto wild parts of ourselves, a leap of faith into our unknown.

A coronation as pirate Queen and King.

We set the intention to blend cruising with social life and human experiments. We are taking on crew for the longer passages ahead, inviting people who dream of the sea but are also pirates, witches, creators, dreamers. [read below]

THE ROUTE :

First year:  Bretagne to Tunisia to Portugal
The journey began in Bretagne in Sep '23: a blessed month when we became lovers and a sailboat called Jeremiya to the small rocky port where it lay after circling the globe for a decade. Then came a year of gallivanting around Europe, a year of refitting this good old boat “pour un autre tour (around the globe?)”, and exploring our own backyard: Bretagne-Pais Basco-Galicia-Portugal-Andalucia-Barcelona-Mallorca-Tunisia-Sardaignia-Menorca-Ibiza-Gibraltar-Algarve.

The second year: Across the pond
Leaving the continent on Jeremiya's birthday end of October, we made a fast downwind run to the Canary islands in 3 days and are now exploring this surreal volcanic hotspot. They may still be in the E.U. but the European continent feels far behind already!
Soon we will set sail with the tradewinds to the Cape Verde islands, and then from there cross the Atlantic Ocean. We have a destination on "the other side": Yucatan (Mexico) where Yael is set to offer tattoo ceremonies this winter.

JOIN AS CREW :

We set the intention to blend cruising with social life and experiments, to host creative labs on or off the boat, but this first year we've sailed "just the two of us", and some passages Jeremiya navigated solo. Now in las Canarias we are taking on crew for the two part crossing of the Atlantic: three people will board Kanthaka for a week until the Cape Verde islands. There they will disembark to find other ships to continue their journeys west, and two dear friends of ours will hop on board for the longer passage to the Caribe. More soon!
